Alex and Riley each founded their own boutique agencies in 2020 (Pollen Talent and Connors Long) working on similar roles across Product, Tech, and G&A. As respected friends and frequent recruiting partners, their complementary backgrounds in strategic hiring led them to the formation of Mesa Talent.

Alexandra Dworsky

Alex Dworsky is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Mesa Talent, where she brings her people-first mentality to hiring and start-ups.

Alex jump-started her career at Tinder as lead recruiter and growth strategist, doubling their headcount in a year. She went on to join Uber, specializing in the robust buildout of their early product organization. Alex was then recruited to WndrCo's founding team as Head of Talent, where she hired executive leads for their investment portfolio and advised founders on scalable hiring processes. Subsequently, Alex joined Bird to lead Product, Executive, Data, Sourcing, and DE&I hiring initiatives. Her high-touch expertise and customer obsession led to the inevitable founding of her own boutique agency, Pollen Talent, in 2020.

Alex holds a B.A. in English Language and Literature from Fordham University.

Riley Long

Riley Long is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Mesa Talent where he leads early to growth-stage companies, specializing in executive and hard-to-hire roles. As a former operator in startups, stage and fit are critical to his strategy: the right person at the right time can change the trajectory of a business.

Prior to Mesa, Riley led recruiting at Dollar Shave Club (through Unilever acquisition), DogVacay (through Rover acquisition), and Joymode with a stop at Safire Partners. He started his own search firm, Connors Long, in 2020.

Riley holds a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
